Moong Dal Halwa Recipe


Ingredients:-
  • 1 cup course moong dal flour
  • 1 tea spoon whole moong dal (opt.)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cup boiling water
  • ½ tea spoon cardamom powder
  • Pinch saffron


For Garnishing:
  • Sliced almond
  • Sliced pista
  • Cashew

Method:-
  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add moong dal flour and moong dal in it. Roast at slow flame till light brown.
  2. Add 3 cups of boiling water in it and let it cook till moong dal absorbs water. Stir continually.
  3. Add sugar and remaining water and saffron into it and cook well.
  4. Cook till it separates ghee. Add cardamom powder.
  5. Hot and yummy Moong Dal Halwa is ready to serve.
  6. Garnish with almond, pista and cashews.
